Position: Math & Science Teacher - 6th Grade
Reports to: Assistant Principal
Salary Range: $39,800-$75,361, DOE; Work at Athlos - Salary Schedule
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- Education: Minimum bachelor's degree or enrolled in a teaching program.
- Experience Required: Teaching experience preferred, but not required.
- Certification Required: Valid Louisiana teaching certificate preferred; if not, enrollment in alternate certification required.

Job Duties:
- Teaches 6th Grade Math and Science in alignment with state standards.
- Plans, prepares and delivers instruction that engages students and provides academic growth.
- Ensures student growth and achievement in accordance with grade level.
- Models the Athlos culture.
- Responsible for tracking student attendance, behavioral issues and classroom events.
- Communicates with parent/guardians and the community in a professional manner.
- Participates in regular professional development.
- Communicates regularly with school leadership and other faculty to maximize effective instructional activities.
- Participates in the school's professional learning community to enhance learning objectives.
- Meets professional obligations by honoring schedules and deadlines.
- Other assigned duties.
