YMCA Camp Custodian/Maintenance

YMCA Camp Wiyaka is seeking a person to preform custodian and maintenance support this summer at camp. This position will be available during staff training and the duration of summer camp.

Essential Functions

• Assists in Day to Day custodial needs based on camp needs for the day.
• Performs various duties such as maintaining the foreground, building(s) upkeep, debris mishaps (i.e. fallen branches), building repair, and various duties throughout the camp.
• Reports to Facility Director items that need repair.
• Disposes of trash.
• May set up furniture for special events.
• Performs preventative maintenance as needed.
• Create a nurturing and safe environment by reporting suspicious activity that may lead to child abuse or may violate the code of conduct.
• Keep supplies organized and well maintained in a safe storage space
• Assists in closing and opening of the facility when needed.
• Must have the ability to use equipment and chemicals in prescribed manner, including ability to read labels, SDS information sheets, and instructions.
• Other Duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Six months or more of related experience is preferred.
• Must be able to read.
• The ability to communicate and get along with people of diverse backgrounds is required.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certificate preferred.
