What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Literacy Paraprofessional- grade 1 position at Athol Community Elementary School?
We are looking to add a paraprofessional to our First Grade Team. We are committed to providing students with a positive learning environment focused on meeting the needs of all learners.
Paraprofessionals assist teachers in providing an innovative, high-quality education program designed to meet the needs of the children. Paraprofessionals will work with school staff to create an educational environment in which quality and continuity are key factors in educating the students.
Responsibilities:
Supports direct instruction to children individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings
Provides assistance with classroom activities.
Prepares instructional materials.
Assists in classroom set up and clean up.
Manages individual and classroom behavior using prescribed approaches.
Performs other related duties as requested by the principal.
Salary : $21 - $26
