Responsibilities
Essential Functions- Conducts interactions with everyone in a friendly, courteous and respectful manner.

- Advocates to ensure privacy and confidentiality while helping others to maintain awareness.
- Maintains a clean and safe hospital.
- Responds appropriately and immediately in emergency situations.
- Maintains a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors, and/or staff to provide the highest level of physical comfort, and minimize risk and injury.
- Ensures compliance with regulations to maintain accreditation and licensure.
- Complies with the Hospital Attendance and Tardiness Policy.
- Completed all Hospital and Department Specific Mandatory requirements in the prior calendar year.
- Reports Incidents in a timely and effective manner.
- All employees with direct patient contact are responsible for actively engaging in the practice of, monitoring and enforcing compliance to hand hygiene.
- Responds immediately to critical events.
- Provides leadership and follow – up during critical events such as code blue, code red and code 100.
- Provides appropriate follow – up (i.e. staff education, documentation, family / staff support, etc.)
- Adjusts staffing levels to ensure the highest level of patient care.
- Evaluates staffing needs continuously and adjusts as necessary to meet the needs of the patient for the current and next shifts.
- Functions as a clinical and administrative resource for the nursing staff.
- Functions as a clinical and administrative resource for the nursing staff.
- Provides clinical consultation, advice and education.
- Assists staff with problems.
- Completes all employee performance evaluations by evaluation due dates.
- Assists staff with conflict resolution (i.e. staff / physician, patient / physician, staff / staff).
- Mediates conflict.
- Reports and communicates situation appropriately.
- Advocates for patients, families, and staff.
- Intervenes on patient / staff behalf.
- Supports patients’ rights.
- Supports other departments to meet patient needs.
- Maintains operations of other departments during non-operating hours.
- Functions as an administrative resource for other departments during non-operative hours.
Qualifications
Job Requirements Minimum Education- Graduate of accredited school of Nursing.
- Associates degree in Nursing required.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum of three years acute care experience required.
- Critical care or Emergency care experience preferred.
- Charge nurse experience required.
- Supervisor experience preferred
- Current MA RN licensure
- Current AHA ACLS required
NA/CNA, 2nd FL Med/Surg, 24 hours, day shift, 6:45am-3:15pm, every other weekend and every other holiday, sign on bonus
