Interim Middle School Special Education Teacher

The Athol-Royalston Regional School District is seeking an Interim Special Education Teacher at the Middle School level Successful candidates must be committed to helping students find academic, social, and emotional success in an inclusive setting. The chosen educator will work alongside and in partnership with a content general educator. The co-teachers will create an equitable, inclusive environment that supports students' mental health while presenting them with challenging, rigorous content with a focus on growth. Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Provide direct services, both push-in and pull-out, as needed to special needs students on your caseload • Caseload management for assigned students, to include writing IEP’s & monitoring student progress, oversight of all aspects of the service delivery and coordination with related service providers • Obtain present levels/baselines using informal assessments • Conduct and interpret results for Educational Evaluations • Participate as a member of the special education team responsible for determining eligibility for special education
