As we continue to grow across multiple markets, we are seeking a dynamic Regional Director of Business Development to lead our outreach and promotional efforts.
Position Summary:
We are looking for an ambitious and results-driven marketing and sales professional to spearhead business development for our behavioral health service line expansions. This role will be responsible for generating leads, cultivating relationships, and promoting both Athra’s services and the new behavioral health programs implemented at partner ERs and micro-hospitals.
This is a high-travel position requiring in-person presence across multiple states. You’ll play a vital role in supporting site activations, educating referral sources, and building lasting market visibility for Athra and its partner facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to promote new behavioral health service lines at partner ERs and micro-hospitals
- Represent Athra’s brand and consulting capabilities to hospital leadership, referral networks, community stakeholders, and behavioral health providers
- Conduct in-market visits to support facility rollouts, referral source meetings, and community engagement campaigns
- Coordinate with operational and clinical teams to identify program needs, unique selling points, and marketing messaging
- Create marketing collateral, social media content, referral outreach campaigns, and host community events/CEUs to drive awareness
- Track metrics, market feedback, and business development opportunities in assigned territories
- Assist with proposal development and client presentations for prospective hospital and health system partners
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in healthcare marketing, sales, or business development – behavioral health experience preferred
- Knowledge of freestanding ERs, micro-hospitals, or acute care environments is a strong plus
- Therapist or Registered Nurse preferred
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75%) across multiple states mandatory
- Must live within driving distance of major airport
- Self-starter with a drive for growth, visibility, and impact
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
