Job Type: Full Time, In-Person
Job Hours: 8:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Purchasing Assistant located in Carlstadt, NJ at Athra. The Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for managing purchasing processes, handling purchase orders, and facilitating communication with vendors and suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Purchasing Processes and Procurement skills
- Experience with Purchase Orders
- Understanding of purchasing policies, contracts, and supply chain principles
- Meeting deadlines for orders and inventory needs
- Evaluating price comparisons and supplier options
- Communicating with vendors to get the best deals
- Liaising between departments, suppliers, and management
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members.
- Proven experience in purchasing or a similar role.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Typing and Computer Literacy skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Organizational skills and time management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and data entry software.
- Experience in the jewelry or fashion industry is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
