HVAC Mechanic

ATI has a current need for a full-time HVAC Mechanic. ATI is seeking a highly motivated, qualified, and experienced HVAC Mechanic with an active TOP SECRET clearance. Position required to maintain and repair HVAC equipment throughout a new facility located in Springfield, Virginia.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties may include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Adding refrigerant to or removing refrigerant from equipment;
- Installing and troubleshooting heating and cooling systems;
- Cutting, welding, soldering, and assembling pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures;
- Replacing component and parts (pumps, pipes, fans, etc.);
- Using power and hand tools safely to support the facilities;
- Maintaining air and water treatment systems;
- Inspecting refrigerant systems for leaks;
- Reading blueprints & schematics, utility plans, mechanical drawings, and electrical and wiring diagrams; and
- Entering data into a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum TOP SECRET Clearance required - additional security clearance investigation upon hire may also be required
- Journeyman HVAC or Master HVAC license;
- EPA Universal certification;
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Must demonstrate proficiency with the following:
- Familiarity with building codes, ordinances and regulations of state and local authorities pertaining to HVAC; and
- Proficiency with ASHRAE standards to include ASHRAE 55 -Thermal Environmental Conditions for Human Occupancy, ASHRAE 62.1 – Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality, and ASHRAE 180 - Standard Practice for Inspection and Maintenance of Commercial Building HVAC Systems.

Pay Rate: $47.39 - $55.00/hour depending on role, experience, and benefits selected
Location: Springfield, VA
Working Hours: Normal Work Hours – Monday – Friday (anticipate 40 per week).
