Named Best Physical Therapy Practice in the Nation, come join ATI Physical Therapy in our Finance team. During this high-visibility internship, you’ll partner with leaders in our experienced and successful Finance team to apply your knowledge of finance to real-world financial modeling, analysis, and reporting. You will work cross-functionally with partners across the finance department and broader organization to build financial models and analytics to drive key business decisions. This internship offers an opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world financial scenarios and develop practical skills in finance. Including hands-on experience, mentorship from experienced finance professionals and networking opportunities within the organization. Interns will share experiences with a cohort community, participate in weekly mentoring and learning sessions, and add value through their unique perspective and strong academic background. After completing an internship, successful Finance interns will be eligible to move into a Financial Analyst role within ATI.
Responsibilities
• Collect operational and market data for financial analysis. • Analyze financial performance by highlighting trends and anomalies and provide regular reporting on a business unit’s financial performance.• Compare financial data with forecasts and plans to determine current financial conditions.• Partner with cross functional groups and business partners to analyze the business.• Compile a comprehensive report of results and recommendation to be proposed to ATI leadership.• Assist with financial modeling.• Provide support for annual budget and forecast cycles.• Assist with statistical analysis and other special projects• Present data-driven recommendations to the finance team.• Develop and utilize spreadsheets, databases, and other computer applications.• Provide insights and recommendations for operational improvements and innovations
Qualifications
Minimum Education Required:• Pursuing a BS degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math, or related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0• Strong analytical and quantitative skills• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel• This is a 20 hour a week hybrid position with most days in-office Preferred:• Graduate in May 2024 Minimum Experience Required:• Willing to work 30 hours a week during Summer 2023 on-site in our Bolingbrook, IL corporate office• Legal authorization to work in the United States Preferred:• Knowledge Skills and Abilities• Self-starter with a can-do attitude and desire to make an impact• Strong communicator who can work with cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment• Analytically minded, strong attention to detail, and data-driven approach to building solutions and answering key strategic questions• Ability to balance multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment• Drive and a high bar for performance• Strong verbal and written communication skills• Highly motivated with a desire to learn• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
