Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Restoration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the restoration industry, particularly in fire and water damage restoration. This role involves using various hand and power tools to restore properties affected by disasters, ensuring that they are cleaned and rebuilt to their original condition. The Restoration Technician will work closely with clients to provide exceptional service and support throughout the restoration process.
Duties
- Perform water damage restoration, including extraction, drying, and dehumidification processes.
- Conduct fire restoration tasks, including smoke removal and structural cleaning.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various restoration projects.
- Clean carpets and other surfaces as part of the restoration process.
- Assess damage and develop a plan for restoring affected areas.
- Follow safety protocols, especially when dealing with hazardous materials such as asbestos.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain the restoration process and answer any questions.
Qualifications
- Experience in the restoration industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with carpet cleaning techniques is a plus.
- Knowledge of asbestos abatement procedures is advantageous.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Must be physically fit, as the role requires lifting, standing for long periods, and performing manual labor.
