We are currently hiring an Operational Planner at our manufacturing plant in Millersburg, Oregon. This is a day shift role, typically 7 AM to 4:30 PM. If you have experience in material flow and coordination, ensuring detailed documentation through each stage of the production process, we want to hear from you! This role collaborates with Production Planning to ensure the Operational Area production plans are optimized and scheduled to maximize profit, minimize losses and align with operational capabilities.

This role collaborates with Production Planning to ensure the Operational Area production plans are optimized and scheduled to maximize profit, minimize losses and align with operational capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements Operations Plan and sets production targets in alignment with strategic business objectives.
- Ensures Area/Line production plans are optimized and scheduled to maximize profit, minimize losses, and align with operational capabilities and efficiency.
- Converts broader business strategies into actionable daily operational plans for the production area.
- Defines and monitors KPIs to track the current capability of production area and identify improvement opportunities.
- Identifies production constraints and collaborates with relevant teams to develop solutions to alleviate those constraints.
- Collaborates with Supply Chain and Production Planning to optimize scheduling and resource allocation.
- Challenges schedule breaks, ensures product wheel, and works with the OMG to optimize and freeze maintenance outage periods.
- Partners with the Performance Engineer to ensure the operating plan and reliability issues are coordinated.
- Assists Operations in troubleshooting and closing gaps between actual production performance and planned targets.
- Promotes proactive identification of equipment problems and supports initiatives aimed at long term improvements.
- Is aware of the P&L for a specific line or set of lines, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Provides subject matter expertise to cross functional teams in support of improvement initiatives and the drive for operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field or
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operational planning, production flow planning, materials coordination, operations management, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in operational planning or production planning and supply chain processes.
- Deep understanding of business value drivers and operational requirements.
- Familiarity with supply chain and production work processes.
- Strong experience with production and operations data systems.
- Ability to coach and mentor peers and teams in operational best practices.
- Demonstrates effective leadership qualities in a cross-functional and collaborative environment.
- Strong communication skills to influence decision-making and facilitate coordination across teams.
- Capable of identifying and driving improvement initiatives that deliver measurable operational benefits.
