ATI is seeking to hire a Principal Project Manager to lead capital projects for our Specialty Rolled Products business unit. This position will be based in the Pittsburgh, PA area with work location determined by location of project site(s).

This position will lead the coordination and overall integration of the Engineering Projects within a manufacturing environment. This includes leading / participating in the design and implementation of solutions for technical challenges as the Project Manager for the specified projects. All projects will have an extensive strategic impact on the future of ATI.

Essential Functions

Identify the technical solutions for critical opportunities and problems within our manufacturing environment.

Determine the Project Scope.

Lead the required engineering disciplines to design and implement the solution.

Identify the required Project Budget and control Project spend to the Budget.

Identify the Project Implementation Plan and implement Project per the Plan.

Develop the required Project Specifications to support the design and procurement of the Project solution.

Evaluate Technical Specifications provided by Outside Suppliers for conformance to Project requirements. Recommend preferred vendors to purchasing for P.O. award.

Develop and maintain the Project Schedule based on the Project Implementation Plan, considering the availability of the impacted Operation. Lead Project Resources involved in all aspects of the Project in achievement of the Plan.

Coordinate the resources at the Project location to install, start-up, and commission the Project solution, through the achievement of the Project Objectives.

Incorporate safety, environmental, and legal considerations throughout the projects life cycle.
