We are hiring! AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Deputy Project Manager with a roadway design background to join our team in the Moving I-4 Forward Program Office in Celebration, FL . As part of the team, you'll serve an integral role in the firm by providing assistance and support across multiple roadway projects and managing the team to ensure the project conforms to the client's requirements. This position will support the needs and expectations of the client, including establishing and communicating project requirements and ensuring the team delivers a final product which meets the requirements; assist in the development of a detailed scope of work, budget, and schedule; provide ongoing communication to the project team, ensuring objectives are clear; direct the project team through all phases of the project to achieve the desired results within the established budget and schedule; identify need for contract amendments; and serve as the liaison with the project team throughout the duration of the project. This position may also serve as a point of contact for the client on small, low risk projects. This position requires working in the client's office 5 days a week.

How will you contribute to the team?

• Coordinates and participates in contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors and drafts very complex professional service agreements, arranging for their review and execution by senior management. Conducts QCAP reviews of less complicated professional services agreements.
• Directs project / program team compliance with contract terms; monitors subcontractors' progress, performance and compliance with contractual commitments; participates as necessary in contract dispute resolution and litigation concerning project / program performance, administration and other liability issues; reviews and approves subconsultant and vendor invoices, and resolves payment disputes.
• Develops, communicates and manages project / program quality assurance, administrative procedures, communication guidelines, project / program deliverable formats and specifications, and progress reporting requirements.
• Monitors schedules, billing and reports; ensures appropriate charging of manhours, costs and expenses to projects / programs; assists as necessary in obtaining payment from clients; resolves client disputes and adjusts billing records as required; communicates project / program progress / status to senior management and alerts them of project / program production, quality control or financial performance problems.
• Identifies new business opportunities for the firm, oversees and participates in project / program presentations to clients and other external groups, and promotes firm's capabilities, marketing its services among existing and prospective clients.
• Participates in project / program opportunity evaluation, consultant selection, and in the preparation of firm's qualification / experience statements.
• Works with direct authority of client in communications with regulatory agencies, public officials, subconsultants, and the general public.
• Supervises and serves as mentor to project managers and manages work of subconsultants.
• Monitors and reports financial status of projects / programs to technical managers.
• Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
• Work involves management of diverse multidisciplinary project teams comprising a program.
• Guides, reviews, supervises and / or coordinates the work of diverse internal teams and subcontractors. Program teams (internal employees and / or subconsultants) typically consist of up to 25 people. Responsible for performance management and career development of assigned internal staff.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to visit project sites if necessary.
• Ability to plan, prioritize and review project plans and documents, evaluate alternatives, and devise appropriate solutions.
• Ability to work under the pressure of multiple projects.
