Working for a Nuclear Technology client the Planning and Controls Manager will support the Project Management Office (PMO) in all aspects of project planning and execution. This position will be an integral part of the corporate PMO, supporting and improving oversight of multiple advanced nuclear projects, including the Natrium advanced reactor project. The Planning and Controls Manager ensures effective project planning, governance, and performance oversight. This role is key for maintaining control processes, supporting decision- making, and ensuring overall project success.

Expected compensation range is between $150,000 - $170,000 yearly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.

How will you contribute to the team?
- Oversee the development of integrated project plans and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead change control processes to assess, document, and communicate impacts of change requests.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators for project success.
- Provide advanced data analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with business intelligence analysts to develop visualization tools and dashboards.
- Facilitate integration of project planning, cost, and risk management data into comprehensive controls frameworks.
- Provide mentorship and training to planning and control engineers, and data analysts.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field from an accredited, four-year university or equivalent experience.
- 10 years of experience in planning, controls, and data analysis.
- Proficiency with tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, JIRA, and PowerBI.
- Experience planning, executing, or control of a first-of-a-kind project exceeding $100M in budget, spanning multiple years, and involving multi-disciplinary teams of 100 .
- Expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and practices.
- 5 years managing staff in cost management, project controls, or data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact with stakeholders.
- Experience with advanced nuclear projects (preferred).
- The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork.
