We are seeking a Project Controls Specialist to join our team in Jacksonville, FL to assist with work supporting local clients.

How will you contribute to the team?
- Assist with monitoring budget, schedules, and quality review for program specific projects. Monitor project execution to achieve maximum effectiveness. Coordinates with other departments to prepare reports and resolve issues. Understand resources loaded schedules. Tracks progress against scheduled milestones.
- Assist with monitoring complete financial cycles such as vendor purchase orders, client cost proposals, change orders and pay applications, and work with project managers to facilitate approvals. Generate requisitions for assigned projects. Assists with the preparation and maintenance of reports and logs to track project finances against budgets. Prepare monthly reports and assemble data to consolidate. Assists with the preparation of presentations and reports. Verifies bid documents are ready for advertisement. Supports senior staff and tracks project milestones and client goals.
- Ensures project documentation, correspondence and records are stored in accordance with department needs and applicable regulations, laws and funding requirements. Updates and maintains projects using Project Management Information System (PMIS) Software.
- Performs related work as assigned.
- Work closely with the Program/Project Manager(s) to ensure Quality Control.
- Ability to conduct field visits to ensure and document compliance with codes and laws. Ability to review, understand and interpret construction plans and specifications. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and competing priorities.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with sensitivity, passion and a focus on unity and equity.
- Proficiency in working with Microsoft Office platforms and project management software.
- Ability to clearly communicate with contractors and clients.
What will you contribute?
- Bachelor's degree in field of practice. Management coursework and/or MBA a plus.
- Technical professionals with at least 3 years of related experience
- Excellent technical and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to manage project tasks and assignments.
- P.E. or similar accreditation desirable.
- Knowledge of project planning, development, design, Engineering and construction management methods, practices and principles relating to highway, building, transit, and bridge construction
- Knowledge of grant funding and award requirements
- Possess scope control and change management knowledge.
- Strong organizational, analytic, and strategic-thinking skills with demonstrated ability to create, implement and monitor complex plans and translate those plans into goals and concrete methods and strategies.
- Familiarity of basic Federal, State and Local construction codes and laws with knowledge of FDOT requirements preferred but not required.

Expected compensation range is between $75,000 - $95,000 annually depending on skills and experience.
Upon acceptance of an offer, all candidates must go through a drug screen test and background check. AtkinsRéalis is a federal contractor which mandates a satisfactory background screening report and drug test that supersedes state laws.

Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
