We are seeking a Senior Fire Protection / Plumbing Engineer to join our team in Miami, Orlando, FL, Alexandria, VA office or Exton, PA office. Relocation assistance is available.

How will you contribute to the team?
- Lead the fire protection and plumbing design group (5-8 staff in various locations).
- Oversee / review the design for all the FP / Plumbing projects generated within the Building & Places and PGIS teams.
- Ensure the Fire Protection and Plumbing designs meet Atkins high design standards.
- Sign and seal all engineering documents for the fire protection and plumbing design group.
- Be highly motivated, constantly seek improvement in how we do things, and be willing to take on new challenges.
- Manage multiple projects immediately, including developing proposals, project planning, staffing, and successful delivery of projects both through independent work and engaging other Atkins / SNCL colleagues.
- Cultivate working relationships with project managers, project teams, Atkins / SNCL colleagues, and other clients.
- Effectively network with other fire and life safety industry professionals.
- Develop thorough and clear Design Analysis, Summary of Code Requirements and Life Safety Plans, and accurate Reports.
- Provide planning and design details including engineering concepts, distribution plans, riser diagrams, detail drawings, schedules, specifications, design analysis, and engineering reports.
- Conduct occasional on-site project observations and reviews; duties required to fulfill contractual obligations for construction phase services; overseeing other personnel assigned to this responsibility.
