Process Technician
Who we are looking for:
We are currently looking for a Process Technician to be based out of Hobart IN. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, this person will be responsible for the control, operation, and monitoring of chemical processes in our tube manufacturing operation.
What you’ll do:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Monitor the health and control of our strip and tube wash, acid, chromate, and rinse sections to effectively avoid downtime and manufacturing related issues.
- Monitor and audit tube manufacturing process and how the various processes effect the operation and end product quality.
- Handle and maintain inventories of in and outbound hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals, solids, and liquids. Communicate with vendors and outside support when required.
- Initiate and/or perform equipment repair, preventive maintenance, or modifications for optimum performance.
- Interact as part of the mill crew, supporting the outcome of quality finished goods.
- Contribute to continuous improvement teams as we establish a fully functional process routine.

What you’ll bring:
- 3-5 years of related job experience or equivalent education and field experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of tools, pumps, valves, etc.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, along with problem solving skills.
- Ability to operate a forklift, crane, or heavy equipment within an industrial environment.
- Knowledge of basic chemistry and/or chemical handling preferred.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and/or with little supervision in a team environment.
Within 3 months, you’ll:
- Gain an understanding of the tube mill process.
- Gain an understanding of the tube mill supporting processes.
- Complete necessary documentation to stay within compliance of all national, state, and local laws and regulations.
