Shipper/Receiver
Who we are looking for:
We are currently looking for a Shipper/Receiver to be based out of Weatherford, TX. Reporting to Shipping Manager, this person will be responsible for pulling and packing orders, loading and unloading trucks and making sure the product is secure and safe.
What you’ll do:
Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Knows and follows plant safety rules and wears proper PPE (safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, and gloves
- Knows and follows yard and dock loading/unloading safety rules and procedures
- Able to locate, accurately count, and package products for shipment
- Inspect products and packaging for damage
- Package, palletize and bundle product for shipment using means appropriate for method of transportation
- Proficient with all sorts of material handling and packaging devices including forklifts, pallet jacks, and banders
- Cycle count product and paperwork
- Accurately receive and record inbound freight shipments
- Aware of overstock areas
- Load out customer will call and other docked van freight
- Unload product from flatbeds and docked van freight
- Packing accuracy must be at or exceed an acceptable level
- Perform general warehouse duties and cleanup
- All other duties as assigned.
What you’ll bring:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience with forklift, shrink wrapper, weigh station and scanners, utility knife, hand bander, hand tools, fuel tanks, box and labeling preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Good understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculations
- High attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization
- Shows initiative
- Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner
