Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man/Barback to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set to handle various general maintenance and repair tasks. This role requires someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently to ensure that all repairs and maintenance are completed to the highest standards.
It would be a full-time position that works part-time as a handy-man, part-time to assist the bar as a barback.
Duties
- Perform general maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks.
- Install fixtures such as light fixtures, ceiling fans, and appliances.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored after use.
- Communicate effectively with Management to understand their needs and provide solutions.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on each task.
- Assist bartender in stocking; opening and closing procedures
- Must have ability to lift more than 50lbs, and ability to change keg as needed.
- Provide coverage for employees during breaks or period of high traffic including: bussing, stocking, cleaning
- Creating authentic, custom guest experiences through a high level of attention to detail and service
- Working side by side, with your fellow team members in support of providing a high level of hospitality
Experience
- Proven experience as a Handy Man or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of various repair techniques and maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with tools, equipment, and safety procedures related to maintenance work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Good communication skills to interact with clients professionally.
- Understand that work is easier - and more fun - with teamwork!!
