ATLANTA, TEXAS-
The Atlanta Area Chamber of Commerce (AACOC) is seeking a motivated and visionary leader to fill the role of Chamber President. If you’re passionate about community development, business growth, and making a lasting impact, this might be the perfect role for you!
Primary Purpose:
The President represents the AACOC Board to members, the public, local government, media, and the general public.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
Experience: Event planning, city dynamics, basic accounting, sales/retention, and all forms of marketing (social media, content, print, email, and digital).
Major Responsibilities, Skills, and Duties:
Prepare agendas, reports, and minutes for AACOC meetings.
Hire and supervise AACOC employees (Board approval required).Manage and safeguard all AACOC funds.
Administer and oversee all business affairs of the AACOC.
Develop content, manage digital marketing, and maintain the AACOC website/social media.
Drive membership retention and recruit new members.
Plan and attend AACOC events, including weekends and evenings.
Demonstrate excellent teamwork, time management, and independence.
Exhibit strong communication skills in both speaking and writing.
Maintain professionalism and charisma across platforms.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, QuickBooks, Square, and social media platforms.
Stay trained on the Texas Open Meetings Act and Public Information Act.
Undergo criminal and general background checks as needed.
Salary: Negotiable based on education and experience.
Includes bonus opportunities based on membership growth and retention.
