Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all tennis operations, including programming, coaching, and events
- Develop and implement engaging tennis programs for all skill levels and ages, from beginners to advanced players
- Manage and mentor a team of tennis professionals and support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence
- Coordinate and manage ALTA, USTA, and other competitive league teams, ensuring successful participation and member satisfaction
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that enhances member engagement and promotes a sense of community
- Maintain and enhance the quality of the club’s tennis facilities, ensuring a top-tier playing experience
- Promote the club’s tennis programs and events to attract and retain members while increasing participation
Qualifications and Skills:
- Demonstrate strong tennis skills with a full understanding of the game and its etiquette
- Possess endurance and stamina to remain on your feet for extended periods, often several hours per day, while coaching, demonstrating techniques, and running drills
- Quick movement around the court, including running, pivoting, and changing direction frequently
- Ability to lift and transport equipment such as ball baskets, court dividers, and teaching aids (typically up to 50 pounds)
- Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather conditions, including heat, humidity, cold, and wind
Additional Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role at a country club or similar elite tennis environment
- At least a 5.0 tennis playing ability with a strong competitive background
- Proven experience managing ALTA, USTA, or similar league teams
- USPTA Elite Professional or PTR Professional certification required
