Security Officer - Full Time

Security Officer - Full Time

We are seeking an immediate hire for this essential position. The Security Officer will be required to work from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm or 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility to work outside of regular hours, if necessary, is highly desirable.

Summary: The Security Officer at Atlanta Athletic Club is tasked with ensuring a safe and secure environment for members, guests, and staff. This position involves overseeing surveillance systems and enforcing club policies. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a high standard of integrity, and a professional demeanor, all of which contribute to enhancing the member experience while protecting the club's property and staff.

Responsibilities

• Work as directed to support the mission and values of Atlanta Athletic Club
• Maintain strict gate control, only allowing those with proper parking credentials, or individuals authorized and approved to be on the property
• Maintain accurate log of all authorized visitors to the Club
• Execute emergency 911 notification procedures and Emergency Evacuation Plan
• Respond to emergency alarms and contact police/fire, Director of Security, and Manager on Duty in the event of an actual emergency
• Administer CPR and First Aid if necessary
• Report any deficiencies in the Club's security measures as necessary
• Conduct intermittent inspections of the clubhouse, grounds and all other club facilities
• Monitor video phones at gates and grant access when necessary
• Issue transmitter tags to members and enter data into computer system
• Complete other appropriate assignments given by the Director of Security
  
  

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Strong observational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to perform the required role during emergency situations
• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume traffic area while remaining calm
• Competent in using Microsoft Excel, Word and other various computer systems
• Frequent exposure to a variety of weather conditions
• Must be able to perform physical activities such as frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, pulling, extensive walking and standing
  
  

Requirements

• High School education or equivalent
• Previous service in the US Armed Forces, local police, state police or Sheriff's office desirable
• Proven experience as security officer or relevant position is a plus
• Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocol
• Must be able to work 24-32 hours per week
• Certification in basic CPR, AED and First Aid preferred but will train if necessary
• 18 years of age or older and possess valid driver's license
