We are in search of an immediate hire for this critical role. The Security Officer in this position must be able to work from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am both Friday and Saturday, including Holidays. Willing to work outside regular hours if needed is a plus.

The Security Officer at Atlanta Athletic Club is responsible for maintaining a secure and safe environment for members, guests, and staff. This role involves patrolling the premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, and ensuring compliance with club policies. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor to enhance the member experience while safeguarding the club’s property and team members.
The Security Officer at Atlanta Athletic Club is responsible for maintaining a secure and safe environment for members, guests, and staff. This role involves patrolling the premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, and ensuring compliance with club policies. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor to enhance the member experience while safeguarding the club’s property and team members.
Responsibilities:
- Work as directed to support the mission and values of Atlanta Athletic Club
- Maintain strict gate control, only allowing in those with proper parking credentials, or individuals authorized and approved to be on the property
- Maintain accurate log of all authorized visitors to the Club
- Answers night connection telephone and assists as required
- Execute emergency 911 notification procedures and Emergency Evacuation Plan
- Respond to emergency alarms and contact police/fire, Director of Security, and Manager on Duty in the event of an actual emergency
- Administer CPR and First Aid if necessary
- Patrol parking lots and document unauthorized vehicles left overnight
- Record any deficiencies in Club’s security measures in nightly report
- Conduct intermittent inspections of the clubhouse, grounds and all other club facilities
- Ensures that all internal and external doors are locked according to club policies
- Monitor and record temperature of all walk-in coolers and refrigerated storage areas in kitchen
- Monitor energy controls in Engineers’ equipment room
- Complete other appropriate assignments given by the Director of Security
- Issue transmitter tags to members and enter data into computer system
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to perform required role during emergency situations
- Ability to multi-task in a high volume traffic area while remaining calm
- Competent in using Microsoft Excel, Word and other various computer systems
- Frequent exposure to a variety of weather conditions
- Extensive walking and standing required
- Must be able to perform physical activities such as frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, pulling, extensive walking and standing
Requirements:
- High School education or equivalent
- Previous service in the US Armed Forces; local police, state police or Sheriff’s Office desirable
- Security experience is preferred
- Certification in basic CPR, AED and First Aid preferred but will train if necessary
- 18 years of age or older and possess valid driver’s license
