Director of Speech Therapy

Description

The Director of Speech Therapy is responsible for leading, developing, and overseeing the Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) program. This role involves hiring, training, and supervising SLPs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, ethical, and evidence-based speech therapy services. The Director will also provide direct clinical services, monitor and measure clinical outcomes, and maintain excellence in all aspects of the speech therapy program. The role requires strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and the ability to manage resources effectively.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current state licensure and certification in SLP.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices and regulatory compliance requirements in speech therapy.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze clinical data and implement quality improvement initiatives.

• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities.
• Previous experience in a multi-disciplinary setting.
• Knowledge of funding sources, including insurance and Medicaid billing.
• Frequent travel to center locations may be required.
• May involve weekend or evening work depending on operational needs.
