Shift : Night Shift
Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri.........6pm until completion
Some overtime may be needed
Pay range : Approx. $65K / year

This position has primary responsibility for assigning tasks / activities to their respective Warehouse Operational Team members, ensuring the business needs are meet while enabling the team members to meet their productivity requirements. They are responsible for managing the safety, welfare and productivity of all associates for the warehouse campus to which they are assigned, and reports information directly to the Warehouse Manager. They provide example and Leadership to achieve business objectives following all Quality and Safety Requirements
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :Addresses and communicates all updated operational or personnel information with all Leads and gives instructions to the weekend shifts accordinglyReviews all daily attendance issues and reports them to the Warehouse and Personnel Managers as requiredProvides daily / weekly production goals to shift Leaders and updates WM when goals have been metContinuously monitors Warehouse Operation, production to schedule, and improvement opportunities to ensure daily production goals are achieved and or exceededCoordinates a weekly shift walk-through for all Team Leaders under their charge, to include special instructions and requirementsResponsible for daily accuracy of inventory and ensures all items are updated in correct zonesResponsible for submitting all data needed to the Lead responsible for the creation of exception reportsReviews production schedule to identify the production goal and balances staffing to requirementsAssigns daily work functions for all shift employees prior to shift start in the absence of the Team LeaderConducts daily pre-shift meetings to communicate production goal, function assignments and any special work requirements or operational process changes in the absence of the Team LeaderProvides First Responder Team Leadership for assigned shift in the absence of the Team LeaderAssigns First Responders Support roles each day in the absence of the Team LeaderEnsures pre-operational equipment inspections are conducted daily prior to shift start, providing LOTO support for material handling equipment, safety or other equipment as needed.Ensures there are adequate quantity of trailers (per carrier) available on yard to fulfill the loading schedule and communicates any shortages to the Customer Care team for resolutionProvides ongoing communication to the “Spotter” and Security team for moving trailers to and from dock doorsMaintains active review of e-mails to address any urgent need or emergency orders to meet customer requirementsEnsures warehouse production meets customers quality specifications and requirementsEnsures all Team Leads, Taskers and Group Leads are adequately trained and qualified to manage Warehouse Operations as backup for a Senior Team Leader absenceEnsures all Safety and Sanitation Procedures / Requirements are being followed and executed daily for Warehouse OperationsConducts daily end of shift walk-throughs of the warehouseSupports end of shift transition through communication of any special instructions / requirements for on-coming shift’s Leaders along with other applicable departmentsReports indirect hours to the Warehouse Manager.Responsibilities for Personnel Development :Monitors the skill level, qualification process, and cross training for current and potential LeadersMonitors employee skill level and ensures training is provided via Trainers when required and reports any training needs to the Warehouse ManagerMonitors team and individual performance with immediate verbal feedbackProfessionally, verbally addresses issues with employees, escalating to the Warehouse and Personnel Managers for guidance if unsure how to handle a situationLeads by example, guiding and mentoring employeesProvides monthly performance review input for non-core employees to the Personnel ManagerReports staffing and performance issues to the Warehouse and Personnel ManagersIII. KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / COMPETENCY :
WHS Management Software, Red PrairieComputer skills in spread sheet and word processing softwareMulti-tasking and Directing othersIV. MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL or TRAINING REQUIREMENTS :
High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum of 18 months supervising othersV . PEOPLE MANAGEMENT :
