Server Assistant

Description

• Clearing, cleaning and resetting of tables in the dining room as well as cleaning and clearing the surrounding dining area
• Polishing and rolling silverware
• Pouring initial water for service and assisting the service team in refilling water glasses
• Sweeping / mopping and cleaning spills on an as needed basis
• Assist Front Servers with running side work tasks
• Prepare for service. This includes but is not limited to preparing drink stations, stocking all beverage areas, and cleaning where needed
• Maintain effective communication between the Chef team and the Front Server team
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of current food and drink menu
• Assist with special events as needed
• Have full knowledge of the Atlanta Botanical Gardens including operating times, location of special features, and special events

Requirements

• Excellent oral communication skills required
• Positive interpersonal skills required
• Must speak English and be able to write in basic English
• Follow the Personal Appearance guidelines
• Schedule may include evenings, holidays and weekends

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequent walking, standing – lifting (up to 25 pounds)
