Who We Are :
The Atlanta Community Food Bank is working to end hunger in our community with the food, people and big ideas needed so that no one worries where their next meal is coming from. Since 1979, we’ve been providing food for a growing network of nonprofit partners – including food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters and senior centers. We currently serve more than 700 partners in 29 counties across metro Atlanta and north Georgia.

About the Role :
The Donor Services Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our fundraising and relationship management database. This detail-oriented position is responsible for processing all financial donations, creating and sending donor acknowledgement letters, and providing excellent customer service through donor interactions. Working closely with our fundraisers, this position ensures that donations are accurately coded based on donation documentation and communication. This position helps increase revenue for our matching gift program. This position is part of the Development department and reports to the Senior Manager, Development Operations & Analytics.
What You’ll Do :
Data Entry, Review and Maintenance
Process large volume of gifts (pledges, live checks, credit cards, cash, stocks and ACH) using multiple software platforms with differing processes
Enter, track and report on event participant information.
Looks up donation details in Raiser’s Edge, Classy, Luminate Online, and other platforms
Assist with database clean-up projects, including merging duplicate records and updating returned mail
Link donations to proposals, events, and other database record types
Assist with monetary donation reporting
Work with Development Department on matching gift identification and confirmations for increased revenue, coding matching gift pledges in Raiser’s Edge.
Customer Service and Other Administrative Tasks
Produce daily acknowledgement letters, tribute acknowledge letters, and other customized donor communications and mailings
Assist with large in-house mailings, and coordinate volunteers engaged to assist with major mailings.
Logs into 3rd party platforms to download donation files and confirm matching gifts
Answers donor services department phone calls and emails
Assist in documenting and updating ongoing data entry procedures
Assist with TeamRaiser registration maintenance
Coordinate matching gift entry and tracking in database
Operates paper-folding and postage machines for Donor Services mailings; train Development team on these machines as needed
Other duties and projects may be assigned

What You’ll Need : Skills and Experience your resume should demonstrate :
Demonstrated history of timely and accurately coding and processing incoming donations, including online transactions, manual entry and import files
Advanced knowledge of a fundraising CRM, including a work history of efficiency and accuracy in data entry and data management
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel or comparable spreadsheet software with the ability to use data to track activity and to generate reports
Successful work history that demonstrates strong organizational skills, relentless attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate and prioritize routine tasks and meet deadlines with little supervision
Proactivity in problem-solving, especially with 3rd party vendors
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
