Salary : $25 hourly DOE
We are looking for a Professional CDL driver to fill a company position within our team! You will be responsible for safely operating a heavy commercial vehicle, transporting goods across local distances adhering to all traffic and safety regulations, maintaining detailed logs of driving hours, performing pre-trip inspections, securing cargo, and delivering shipments to designated destinations on time. You will also need to be able to use applications on your phone for the completion of deliveries by sending over proof of delivery. You must be comfortable with city driving and being familiar with the airport is a plus.
You must be able to adhere to the following :
- Communicate and coordinate with dispatchers
- Obey and follow applicable traffic laws
- Secure cargo and properly arrange and balance it
- Maintain a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Ensure any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected in a timely manner
- Meet delivery schedules
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations
- Report defects, accidents and violations
- Perform daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.)
- Interact with customers in a professional manner
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspection reports
- Record cargo deliveries using manifest
- Verify loads for accuracy
