General Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversees all aspects of Flowery Branch physical security program (cyber security is separately managed through IT), including video surveillance and access control operations
- Work with contracted vendors that support security operations to ensure Flowery Branch physical security program is implemented, maintained, enhanced, and updated with current practices
- Works with the Atlanta Falcons Leadership and NFL Security to conduct security investigations and ensure team and league policies are fulfilled
- Manages, conducts and documents company investigations to include internal and external theft, workplace violence, sexual harassment, and confidential incidents involving both company specific liability and fraud prevention in unison with the human resources
- Conducts in-depth background checks to include confidential findings beyond open-source findings
- Supports the AMBSE Security program to align technology and initiatives
- Develops, maintains and documents an audit program; conducts vulnerability assessments to ensure that senior leadership team members are aware of areas of risk
- Develops, maintains and instructs training and security awareness campaigns to drive security best practices for players, coaches, and associates
- Serves as active member of the Crisis Response Team
- Disseminates security intelligence alerts to local management and employees
- Manages and develops the members of the security team
- Reports all potential and projected security deficiencies in the physical security operation to include recommended solution for challenges
- Strategically manage and deploy travel security to include games, practices, and special events
- Endorses, supports and applies all enterprise-wide security protocols, practices and tools
- Makes reports to and liaises with law enforcement as required
- Establishes, develops and fosters relationships with state and local authorities
- Assists and consults with Atlanta United Security Director to share best practices and support when needed
Flowery Branch and Game Day Responsibilities
- Maintains and periodically updates safety management plans
- Ensures the safety of all assigned players, coaches, and associates
- Conducts frequent inside and outside roving patrols, monitoring and logging any suspicious activity
- Regularly monitors security cameras
- Ensures a security presence is established at team training facilities
- Monitors social media activity related to our organization
- Completes detailed reports by recording observations, information gathered, and occurrences
- Investigates and writes reports on all unusual incidents occurring on property (this does not include player investigations)
- Identifies, investigates, and resolves all suspicious/unknown person(s) or items found on property
- Conducts monthly threat assessments and prepares reports regarding same
- Manages access control credentialing for Falcons’ associates at Flowery Branch and Mercedes-Benz Stadium
- Schedules/briefs/places and directs security and law enforcement at the training facility
- Conducts semi-annual fire drills at the Flowery Branch facility
- Prepares a security operations plan for all special events, home and away games
- Communicates regularly with the Atlanta Falcons Vice President of Operations and the AMBSE Vice-President of Security
- Monitors motor vehicle activity (renewals, violations, etc.) for players, coaches and selected associates
- Coordinates with team logistics personnel
- Prepares team security operations plan for all home games to include hotel arraignments, hotel security, transportation details of players, coaches and staff, and game-day stadium activities for all.
- Coordinates with stadium security personnel regarding team arrival, game, and departure security
- Coordinates with NFL security representative for both home and away games
- Coordinates with bomb detection and K-9 search team as necessary
- Attends home and away NFL 100-minute security meetings
- Manages relationship with game day security staff and law enforcement
- Leads and directs all contract security and off-duty law enforcement at the facility and during travel
- Continuously monitors all player and coach areas, including hotel floors, meeting spaces, meal room, training room, and parking areas (team hotel)
- Maintains a security presence in the hotel lobby, bus areas, stadium bus areas, and all locker room areas
- Monitors the team sideline and bench area for safety and security concerns for all games
- Ensures all players are accounted for after the game including a safe passage to team departures areas
- Coordinates with team logistics personnel and TSA screeners
- Ensures safe passage for team and travel party to buses, family area, TSA screening, and post-game meals for all home and away games
- Ensures post-game security for team Executives and Coaches
- Assists with international documentation related to team travel
- Coordinates Head Coach travel to home games
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
- College degree preferred
- 5 to 10 years law enforcement experience and/or military experience
- NIMS Incident Command Certification
- Experience in crowd management and crisis intervention

Physical Requirements
- Constant critical physical demands including walking, standing, climbing stairs
