Job Description
The Area Director of Engineering will be responsible for overseeing the operational maintenance of hotels within their direct oversight, ensuring that all facilities are well-maintained and running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOP) and policies to ensure consistency across all properties.
- Monitor and control all out-of-order rooms, working closely with hotel staff to get them back in service quickly.
- Assist with deployment of preventative maintenance programs and platforms to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Corporate office team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
- Provide leadership and guidance to Directors of Engineering and Engineering departments in the Area, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Conduct regular property audits to ensure compliance with standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, making recommendations for implementation and adoption.
- Partner with VP of Facilities and VP of Operations to drive capital projects and initiatives forward.
- Assist with budgeting and planning processes at all hotels in the assigned area as needed.
