The Retention Coach is a critical member of our Ministry by ensuring employment retention through supporting, advising, and reinforcing key training lessons to the client building solutions to any barriers.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
- Maintains relationship/communication with employed clients, including regular one-on-one meetings to assess and address any needs
- Encourages and motivates employed clients to reach their personal and professional goals
- Builds trust and works with clients to slow down and connect them to the big picture of their definition of success
- Collaborates with Atlanta Mission’s corporate employment partners to ensure top-rate retention and continued partnership with hiring companies
- Utilizes outreach tactics outlined in the curriculum in order to ensure clients remain engaged with Atlanta Mission after moving into housing
- Assists clients with issues related to finances which includes budgeting and navigating resources when financial assistance is needed
- Holds responsibility for the job retention of clients for at least 1 year
- Maintains internal processing database to document work activity, client progress, and communications with all clients
- Prepares individual outcome reports, upholding a high standard of data integrity

- Ability to have flexible, unconventional hours in order to meet clients where they are and accommodate work schedules
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- High energy and ability to engage others towards a common goal
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Must have the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing, sitting, and/or walking)
- Must have the ability to operate a computer and other office equipment constantly
- Must be able to communicate accurate information
- Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions during events
- Moderate noise as in a business office environment
- Travel to Chicago bi-annually for training with Cara partner
- Travel to various locations in the city and to clients’ work locations, as needed

Salary : $42,000 - $52,000
