The Next Steps Leader is a critical member of the team, serving within our ministry by managing the Vocational services for clients.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for program outcomes. Ensuring goals are met in areas including client satisfaction and client outcome
  • Ensures that Salesforce data is regularly inputted, accurate, and up-to-date
  • Participates in organizational design work to identify & implement best practices & new approaches to increase effectiveness
  • Collaborates with other MPLs (MSH, TSI, TPH) to develop strategic plans and execute services Recruits, hires, develops, and communicates regularly with staff to review progress, gather insights & provide coaching & spiritual development.
  • Works with the vocational team to develop new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization
  • Responsible for monthly reporting to Cara & ensures that the integrity of the Cara brand stays in-tact Collaborates with ad-hoc workshopping to identify challenges and problem-solve
  • Cultivates relationships and connects with outside workforce development organizations to stay up to date on the latest training & methods and to share resources and ideas
  • Connects with the Partnerships Team to determine volunteer requirements and onboarding

Position Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of professional experience with leadership responsibilities
  • Skilled in personal coaching in one-on-one & group settings
  • Organizational skills with the ability to solve practical problems & deal with a variety of unexpected obstacles

Supervisory Requirements: Next Steps team

Physical Requirements:

  • Position requires remaining stationary for long periods of time and moving and walking to various locations
  • Must have the ability to consistently operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Must be able to communicate accurate information
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 10lbs

Environmental Job Requirements:

  • Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions during events
  • Moderate noise as in a business office environment
  • Lower exposure risk to communicable diseases as described by OSHA

Special Job Requirements:

  • Travel to Chicago for training with Cara Program 2 times a year
  • While this position will primarily serve one campus, it will require travel to additional campuses associated with the Atlanta Mission for training and inter-departmental collaborative meetings.
