Description
As a Pit Steward, you will be a crucial part of our go-kart track team, ensuring that all aspects of the pit area operate smoothly and safely. You will be responsible for managing customer sessions, maintaining safety standards, and collaborating with other team members to deliver an exceptional racing experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Play Safety Briefing Video:
- Ensure every customer watches the mandatory safety briefing video before participating in their session.
- Assign Customers to Karts:
- Allocate go-karts to customers based on their session and ensure a smooth transition from briefing to racing.
- Make Announcements:
- Communicate clearly with customers, announcing sessions and grouping them correctly according to their scheduled times.
- Session Efficiency:
- Manage the timing of each session to ensure they start and end on schedule, maximizing track usage and customer satisfaction.
- Correct Bad Driving Behaviors:
- Monitor customer driving behavior and address any unsafe or inappropriate actions promptly and professionally.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with cashiers and the corner marshalls to ensure seamless operations and a coordinated approach to customer service and safety.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Verify that customers are properly buckled and fitted in their karts, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
- Opening and Closing Procedures:
- Complete all required opening and closing procedures, including checklists, to maintain a safe and prepared track environment.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills and the ability to make clear and effective announcements.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in a customer service or safety-related role is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capability to move around the pit area and assist customers with fitting and buckling into karts.
Schedule:
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the track's operating hours.
