Description: Join Atlanta Music Education, LLC, where we're expanding our team of performing arts instructors in piano, voice, drums, guitar and more to meet our growing wait list in the metro Atlanta area.
Our contracted teachers provide private music lessons in the convenience of our clients' homes, primarily in neighborhoods such as Decatur and East Atlanta. Lesson durations range from 20 to 60 minutes, tailored to the age and proficiency level of each student.
Compensation begins at $30 per 30-minute lesson, with opportunities to earn up to $60 per hour through consecutive lessons with multi-sibling households. We offer flexibility in scheduling, allowing teachers to choose their teaching days, preferred instruments, and student levels.
Teachers at Atlanta Music Education are integral members of our community, attending all student performances including biannual formal recitals and three Kids Open Mic events per year. Additionally, each instructor hosts a 30-minute studio class on a topic of their choice or outing to a local performing arts event twice annually, with compensation provided as part of the monthly lesson pay.

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop personalized lesson plans and deliver engaging music lessons to students across a wide range of ages and abilities in the Atlanta perimeter, focusing on neighborhoods like Decatur and East Atlanta.
- Maintain ongoing communication with parents to update them on student progress and share important information.
- Collaborate effectively with administrative staff as needed, including creating monthly invoices for your services.
- Participate actively in all Atlanta Music Education events, including our biannual formal student recitals, group classes coordinated by the teaching team, and our popular Kids Open Mic sessions.
- Foster a supportive and motivating learning environment that encourages student growth and passion for music education.
- Stay current with trends and best practices in music education to continually enhance teaching methods and student engagement.
- Demonstrate professionalism and dedication to providing high-quality music instruction that meets the diverse needs of our student community.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree. (Preferred)
- Experience in teaching, education programming or working with children
- Must have reliable transportation to drive to students' homes each week to provide lessons and to all program events.
- Must be fully vaccinated.
