Events Manager

Atlanta Tech Village
Atlanta, GA Full Time
POSTED ON 2/13/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 4/13/2025

Who We Are:

Atlanta Tech Village is America’s 4th largest tech hub, serving 300 different startups in the heart of Buckhead and now expanding to South Downtown Atlanta with two distinct locations: a tech-focused hub (ATV Sylvan) and a neighborhood business hub.

We believe entrepreneurship is the greatest mechanism for changing the world and provides the support and resources needed to help Founders start and grow a technology company and for both tech and local businesses to thrive. Startups are hard, but community shouldn’t be, so we work hard to provide a kind, collaborative, and supportive environment that will attract the very best entrepreneurs.

Our team core values are:

  • Always assume the best.
  • A willingness to sweep the floors.
  • Treat each other like family.
  • Set the table to spark joy.

The Position:

The Events Manager will be integral to the success of ATV by managing internal and external events from start to finish across all our locations. This role will oversee the complete event lifecycle - from sales and planning to execution and follow-up - while collaborating with our communications team on event promotion and marketing needs. This position will play a major role in supporting and inspiring our startups and creating community through impactful event experiences.

This role reports directly to the Director of Partnerships. This is a split in-person role between ATV Buckhead (3423 Piedmont Rd. NE) and ATV Sylvan (235A Mitchell Street NW).

Our approach is relationship-driven. We lead with community (it’s not about the office space or the cost to rent an event space). We celebrate each other’s successes and operate as a double-bottom-line business, balancing profit with community mindedness.

Job Description:

A successful candidate will be extremely organized, relational, outgoing, friendly with a natural talent for customer service, and excitement to learn. This person will enjoy working independently and be self-driven while also managing a team of part-time event staff. Their skills will be used to contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the events program. Events and marketing experience required.

Internal Events and Programs

  • Collaborate with Director of Partnerships to execute programming for the year
  • Manage internal events such as Startup Chowdown, ATL Startup Village, Women Tech, Village Workshops, and more.
  • Support Villager Events alongside the community team
  • Build collaborative relationships with vendors and service providers who support ATV events

Marketing Strategy

  • Oversee event-related marketing and communications strategy
  • Support the event-related content creation for the Communications Coordinator
  • Post events on ticketing platforms ATV’s website
  • Co-market with event rental clients (social media posts, website posting, newsletter promotion, etc.)

The ideal candidate will (be):

  • Positive, self-starting, and passionate about helping event hosts and Village startups
  • Thrives off of a results-oriented approach
  • Comfortable wearing many hats
  • Creative thinker who executes quickly
  • Can-do attitude where no job is too big or small
