Reports To: Game Day Operations Manager / Event Production Team
Position Overview
The Atlanta Vibe are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Game Day Operations Staff to support the team's second season in the Professional Volleyball Federation (PVF). This is an exciting opportunity for college students or individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in sports operations and live event production. Game Day Operations Staff will assist in various behind-the-scenes functions, contributing to the smooth and successful execution of game-day activities.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with the production, operations, and marketing teams, learning about the logistics, coordination, and execution of live sports events. Specific job duties and start dates will be discussed during the interview process, but the role will offer experience in both event production and fan experience.
Responsibilities
As a Game Day Operations Staff member, you will be involved in a variety of tasks that help make each game day a success, including but not limited to:
- Merchandise Operations:
- Assist with setting up, operating, and managing the merchandise store during home games.
- Help customers with product selection, checkouts, and maintain the store’s inventory.
- Fan Experience & Activations:
- Set up and break down fan activations, promotional events, and signage around the venue.
- Support interactive fan experiences, such as giveaways, contests, or photo opportunities.
- On-Court Support:
- Shag balls during warm-ups and in between points, ensuring smooth transitions during the game.
- Event Set-Up & Break-Down:
- Help with the overall setup and breakdown of game-day elements, including seating, courtside equipment, signage, and branding.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work alongside various departments, including marketing, operations, and production teams, to ensure a seamless event experience.
- Serve as an ambassador for the Atlanta Vibe, engaging with fans and ensuring a positive experience both in the stands and behind the scenes.
Qualifications:
- Student or Early Career: Ideal for college students or individuals looking to break into the sports industry.
- Passion for Sports: A strong interest in volleyball or sports in general is preferred, but not required.
- Team Player: Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong Communication Skills: Able to effectively communicate with team members, fans, and event stakeholders.
- Detail-Oriented & Organized: Must be able to follow instructions and work independently when needed.
- Physical Stamina: The job will require moving equipment, setting up displays, standing for long periods, and assisting with physical tasks (e.g., shagging balls, carrying items).
- Availability: Must be available for all home games throughout the season, including weekends and evenings. Start and end dates, along with specific game day hours, will be discussed during the interview.
