Currently we are looking for an Area Superintendent to join us within the semi-conductor industry in Arizona.
Duties and responsibilities:
· Supervise and support the company workforce in their area, offering guidance and mentorship.
· Help organize and plan field construction activities, fostering collaboration with trade partners.
· Attend weekly schedule and management meetings with trade partners to ensure alignment.
· Promote and maintain site safety by following the safety plan and creating AHAs/STAs for work performed by the team.
· Assist in maintaining the project schedule, updating the four-week plan for the assigned area to keep the project on track.
· Track and maintain cost and production records accurately.
· Contribute to the development of material handling and site utilization plans for the designated area.
· Coordinate with project engineers to ensure material needs are met and verify materials upon delivery for quality and quantity.
· Maintain high-quality standards for all project work, collaborating with trade partners to ensure expectations are met.
· Manage the punch list process, ensuring tasks are completed for owner acceptance during project turnover.
· Build and maintain positive relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
· Participate in project coordination meetings to stay engaged in planning and scheduling activities.
· Support BIM and VDC engineers in resolving issues and keeping the submittal process on track.
Authority:
· You have authority to stop the job if you feel there is an unsafe work practice which could result in a risk of injury, have an environmental impact or risk to equipment and other personnel.
· Carry out your duties to meet Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements at all times.
Requirements:
· A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or construction management.
· Minimum of 5-6 years’ experience on large commercial construction projects.
· Strong communication skills.
· Computer software - Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel-based templates, Prolog, Primavera and the AutoDesk Suite.
· Experienced in construction layout, blueprint reading and shop drawing reading.
· OSHA 10 Certificate desirable
· CPR/ First Aid Certification desirable
