What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Valet & Shuttle Driver position at Atlantic Auto Group?
The Service Valet helps ensure complete customer satisfaction by performing a variety of tasks relating to checking vehicles in and delivering to customers. He/she will move vehicles to/from our service drive to our parking lot, organize vehicles to maximize the use of lot space and keep the lot in order, prepare vehicles for servicing, maintain the cleanliness of the service area, and deliver vehicles to customers after service is complete.
In addition, as a Shuttle Driver, he/she is responsible for dropping customers off and picking them up at the designated time and place as communicated by management.
Our ideal candidate has a high energy level, a desire to work in a fast paced environment, and a valid and clean NY driver’s license. Candidates must be able to drive both manual and automatic transmissions and must be able to pass a drug test, background check, and license/motor vehicle record check. Full-time employees are eligible for medical benefits after 90 days of employment.
Responsibilities
- Greets customers in a pleasant manner and assists in their car parking needs
- Drives customers vehicles to designated parking locations in a safe manner
- Assists in jump starting vehicles as required
- Ensures that all keys and remotes are returned to the appropriate locations
- Moves and delivers vehicles to sites and locations as required
- Monitors condition of vehicles in the lots and notifies supervisor of any issues that need to be addressed
- Maintains lots, keeping them clean and free of debris
- Completes some janitorial responsibilities as assigned
- Manages the vehicles in our busy parking area
- Drops customers off and picks them up at the designated time and place
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a drug test and a background check
- Must have a valid and clean NY state driver’s license
- Must be able to operate both manual and automatic cars
- Must be reliable and able to follow directions
- Must have an excellent attendance record and a commitment to being on time
- Must demonstrate good judgment to make sound decisions about efficiency and safety
- Highly organized
- Capable of working independently
- Strong multitasking skills
- Outgoing personality with excellent communication skills and professional appearance
