Job Summary
The Head Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all members and guests on or around the Pool Deck and within the Pool. This Head Lifeguard position involves supervising lifeguards, managing pool operations, and providing exceptional guest services. The Head Lifeguard will also be tasked with maintaining a clean and safe swimming environment while enforcing pool rules and regulations.
Duties
- Supervise and train lifeguard staff to ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
- Monitor pool activities to prevent accidents and respond to emergencies effectively.
- Conduct regular safety drills and ensure all lifeguards are proficient in CPR and first aid techniques.
- Perform routine pool cleaning and maintenance tasks to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist in managing member/guest services, addressing any concerns or inquiries from members/guests promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of pool activities, incidents, and maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with management to develop safety programs and improve operational efficiency.
- Participate in heavy lifting tasks as needed for equipment setup or maintenance.
Experience
- Previous experience as a lifeguard is required, with a strong understanding of water safety practices.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred, but not required as we will provide training.
- Experience in customer services is a requirement, showcasing strong communication skills with members, guests, and other team members.
- Familiarity with pool cleaning and maintenance procedures is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely when required.
- Proficient swimming skills are essential for effective monitoring of the swimming area.
