Job Overview
The Atlantic Beach Country Club (ABCC) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lesson Instructor to join our Aquatics team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching swimming and ensuring the safety of all members and guests. As a Lesson Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality swim instruction to individuals of all ages and skill levels, while also maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment in the pool area.
Responsibilities
- Conduct swim lessons for various age groups and skill levels, ensuring each participant receives personalized attention.
- Develop lesson plans that cater to the needs and abilities of students, focusing on skill progression and water safety.
- Monitor the pool area to ensure safety protocols are followed, including adherence to pool rules and regulations.
- Perform pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning and checking water quality to ensure a safe swimming environment.
- Provide first aid and CPR assistance as needed in emergency situations.
- Engage with guests to promote swim programs and provide excellent customer service.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to pool equipment or maintenance as required.
Experience
- Previous experience as a swim instructor or lifeguard is required.
- Knowledge of pool maintenance practices, including cleaning procedures and water quality management.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable, but not required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with students, parents, and other team members.
- A commitment to promoting water safety and fostering a positive learning environment.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 28 per week
