Position Objective:
The General Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the accurate recording of the company’s financial transactions in compliance with US-GAAP. This role includes leading audits, account reconciliations, and financial analysis to support decision-making.
Position Responsibilities:
The General Accountant plays a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and compliance. This position involves managing financial reporting, ensuring adherence to U.S. tax regulations, and supporting audits and internal controls. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes. This role includes leading audits, account reconciliations, and financial analysis to support decision-making within the U.S. operations.
Duties:
- Accounting Records: Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with US-GAAP.
- Financial Closings: Coordinate and execute monthly and annual financial closings efficiently.
- Audits: Prepare and coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Reconciliations: Supervise and perform bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other financial accounts.
- Financial Analysis: Prepare reports and financial analysis to support management decisions.
- ERP Management: Oversee accounting processes using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, optimizing workflows and reporting.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations in the U.S. and other relevant jurisdictions.
- Internal Controls: Implement and improve financial controls to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance.
- Operating Expense Control: Monitor and control operating expenses to ensure cost efficiency and budget compliance.
- Process Optimization: Propose improvements in accounting and administrative processes.
Administrative and Technical Competencies:
- Accounting & Finance: Extensive expertise in Accounting Principles (US-GAAP), Excel & Financial Modeling, and Tax Regulations (U.S.).
- Software & ERP: Expert in Business Central / Dynamics 365.
- Analysis & Automation: Advanced proficiency in Excel & Financial Modeling for financial modeling and process optimization.
- Productivity Tools: Full mastery of Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Language & Communication: Advanced proficiency in Bilingual Communication (English & Spanish).
- Process Improvement: Strong expertise in Process Optimization & Efficiency Improvements.
- Strategic & Financial Management: Advanced knowledge in Strategy and Cost Reduction.

Requirements:
3 to 5 years of experience handling US-GAAP standards, audits, and tax compliance.
Over 3 years of experience in the following:
- General accounting, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP systems.
1 year of prior experience in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial companies and or Audit firms “big 4“.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Audit, Finance, or a related field.
Mandatory Degree: Yes.
Languages: Advance English and Spanish.
Travel availability: Yes, within the U.S. for audits and business meetings.
License to drive: No.
Salary: $60,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year.
