Description
This position is charged with maintaining the safety and security of the college buildings, grounds, and assets of all three campuses.
Examples of Duties
Performs main and satellite campus duties in cooperation with on-site managementPerforms functions related to securing college propertyConducts periodic patrols of all buildings and groundsUses a watch tour system to verify a check of each stationReports all unusual conditionsMonitors and operates all alarm systemsMonitors Building Management System and Building Surveillance SystemInsures that buildings and overall facilities are adequately securedInvestigates motor vehicle accidents within the limits of the college campusProvides emergency first-aid as neededInvestigates various campus incidents and files complete written reportsParticipates in first-aid and CPR trainingProvides basic customer relations servicesMeets, greets and directs students and campus visitorsPerforms related duties as assignedTypical Qualifications
Education :
High school diploma or GEDExperience :
Experience within public safety in an educational setting preferredCompetencies and Skills :
Must be certified in CPR & First Aid or earn certification within 60 days of hirePhysical Requirements :
Prolonged period of s standing and walkingMust be physically able to bend or kneelMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a timeSupplemental Information
Must pass an employment physical examination.Must have a telephone, reliable transportation, and a valid N.J. drivers licenseMust maintain valid CPR and First Aid certification as a condition of continued employmentThis position requires rotating shifts at any Atlantic Cape location.
