Job Summary:
Atlantic Carbon Group is seeking a Quality Control Lab Technician to join our team in Hazleton, PA. This role performs laboratory testing and analysis to ensure product quality meets company standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, experience with lab testing procedures, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Test equipment and analytical instruments are used to conduct physical and chemical tests.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of test results and observations.
- Identify and report quality deviations and collaborate with production teams to resolve issues.
- Conduct routine calibrations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and laboratory safety protocols.
- Assist in quality investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Please be sure to maintain cleanliness and organization in the laboratory.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a quality control laboratory setting (preferred).
- Knowledge of testing procedures, analytical methods, and quality control standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to document findings accurately.
- Basic understanding of laboratory safety and good laboratory practices (GLP).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Occasionally required to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds.
- Work is performed in a laboratory setting, where chemicals and testing equipment are exposed.
- Follow strict safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Schedule & Additional Requirements:
- Full-time position.
- May require overtime, weekend shifts, and on-call responsibilities as needed.
