Summary / Objective :
The Fire Protection Sprinkler Helper will assist the Sprinkler Fitter with the assembly and installation of fire protection sprinkler systems, installing sprinkler pipe, inspections, deficiencies, and repairs on various job sites within our new construction division.
Essential Functions :
Inspects, repairs, tests, adjusts and removes sprinkler systemsRelies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the jobSelects specified type and size of pipeCuts, threads and hangs pipeAssists in the installation of valves, couplings and other fittingsAssists in the lifting, positioning and securing of materials and work pieces during installationFollows proper construction practices and company policyPerforms other duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibility : No
Required :
Minimum of 6 months construction or customer service experience; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experienceKnowledge of basic tools and materialsUnderstands and practices the proper use of power and hand toolsPossesses basic math and computation skillsMust be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skillsMust be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen, and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e. DMV, criminal history)Must adhere to all company policy and proceduresMust be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assignedThe work environment and physical demands required would be representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, and may include, but are not limited to the following :
