Position Summary:
The Senior Director of Human Resources Director plans, leads, directs, develops, and coordinates the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring compliance and implementation of the organization's mission and talent strategy.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Recruits, interviews, hires, trains, and manages HR staff.
• Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
• Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
• Handles disciplinary actions in accordance with company policy.
Duties:
• Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and
strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention, and conducts competitive
market research to establish pay practices and pay bands.
• Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes,
training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization's human resource
compliance and strategy needs.
• Administers or oversees human resource programs including, but not limited to,
compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and
investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition,
and positive workforce culture; occupational health and safety; and training and
development.
• Monitors company compliance with regulatory and legal reporting requirements,
including but not limited to laws and regulations pertaining to Equal Employment
Opportunity (EEO), the American with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical
Leave Act (FMLA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the
Department of Labor, Worker's Compensation, and the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration (OSHA).
• Oversees periodic Davis-Bacon prevailing wage audits.
• Reviews outreach programs and monitors for AAP/OFCCP purposes.
• Oversees company-wide annual evaluations and associated COLA increases.
• Manages the E-Verify process, access, and removal of access to IT programs,
and conducts new hire, transfer, promotion, and exit interviews.

Education and Experience Requirements:
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Human Resources, or equivalent knowledge of Human Resources processes and procedures
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred.
• Prior Military service preferred.
• Knowledge of construction and/or manufacturing industries preferred.
Work Environment:
• Works in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office
equipment.
• Visits to construction sites are sometimes required.
Physical Demands:
• This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, keyboards,
phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, white boards, projectors, and fax machines.
• Moves equipment up to 10lbs.
Travel:
• Travel is occasionally required to visit other offices and construction sites.
Must be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen and relevant
background checks.
