Are you a CNA with a Bachelor's Degree who is passionate about delivering the best care possible? We are seeking a caring and dependable person to support a young man with special health care needs. This position would be provided in family’s private residence, as well as in the community. 3 – 11 pm and per diem shifts available.
As a Support Staff Professional you will provide direct care and support individual to ensure his safety and well-being, along with following his interests to become integrated in his community.Responsibilites:

As a Support Staff Professional you will provide direct care and support individual to ensure his safety and well-being, along with following his interests to become integrated in his community.Responsibilites:
- Understands seizures and learn how it impacts individual. Recognize the different types of seizures and when rescue meds are necessary.
- Support with changing disposable briefs, scheduled toileting schedule, and bathroom hygiene regime
- Support the individual with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming,
- Support with administering medication as prescribed by a healthcare professional
- Monitor skin integrity and skin care
- Monitor proper hydration
- Meal preparation (pureed food experience, necessary) and feeding, as necessary
- Accompany the individual to appointments and activities outside of the home to become integrated in his community
- Assist with maintaining a clean and safe living environment
- Responsible for all documentation and daily activities, report any concerns or changes in the individual's condition to Common Law Employer
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid Certified Nurse Aide certificate, REQUIRED
- Bachelor's Degree desired
- Experience working with individuals with seizure disorders and intellectual developmental disabilities
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive individuals to appointments or activities
- First aid and CPR certification, preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
