Atlantic Emergency Solutions is seeking a full-time Mobile Fire Truck Diesel Mechanic to cover New Castle, DE and surrounding areas that include Kent, DE as well as Hartford, Cecil, Queen Annes, and Caroline County Maryland areas.
Our Mobile Fire Truck Diesel Mechanics are responsible for:
- Analyzing malfunctions and determine the necessary repairs for fire and emergency equipment. This includes, but is not limited to the chassis, body, water pumps, electrical components, and engines.
- Operate and inspect this equipment and evaluate the best course of action to return the apparatus to a safe operating condition
- Examines parts for damage or excessive wear using their own and company provided specialized tooling
- Repair, rebuild, overhaul, and replace defective assemblies and components such as gauges, air fittings, plumbing lines and valves, hydraulic lines, various pumps, and basic engine components
- Test repaired equipment to ensure operating efficiency and safety prior to releasing the apparatus for duty

Requirements
- Minimum of three years of prior experience in the heavy truck/diesel industry
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. without assistance
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and have a satisfactory driving record
- Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), with a tanker endorsement is required (or willingness to obtain)
- ASE Mechanic and EVT certifications, as well as a state inspection license, are preferred
