Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterilized and readily available.
- Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures to minimize the risk of infection.
- Anticipate the needs of surgeons and other members of the surgical team to facilitate smooth and efficient procedures.
- Clean and sterilize operating room equipment and instruments after each procedure.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Assures the surgeon identified and describes surgical specimen prior to disposal.
- Restocking the operating room after each scheduled procedure, ensuring all instruments and supplies are replenished and the environment is clean and organized.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirement:
- High school diploma, CST.
- SPD strongly desired.
