AFP Assistant Supervisor
The Assistant Supervisor plays a key role in overseeing warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and compliance with company policies. This position requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing daily warehouse activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations.
- Supervise warehouse staff and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to optimize logistics and minimize delays.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and participate in cycle counts.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor workflow and suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Train and mentor warehouse employees, promoting teamwork and productivity.
- Assist in resolving any operational or logistical issues.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments.
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of warehouse equipment and facilities.
- Generate reports on inventory, shipments, and operational performance.
- Assist in scheduling and workforce planning to meet operational demands.
- Perform administrative tasks related to warehouse operations as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in logistics or management is a plus.
- 3 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics setting, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Certification and experience in operating a forklift required.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects when necessary.
