Job Purpose:
The Accounting Administrator position provides accounts payable and clerical support to the business. This role ensures that proper accounting procedures are followed for the purchasing and payment of goods and services for the dealership.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform full-cycle accounts payable functions to ensure vendor invoices are paid within stated terms.
2. Maintain the payables aging report to increase cash flow and provide visibility to management.
3. Prepare/process semi-monthly AP aging spreadsheet for the selection of invoices for payment through check/ACH runs.
4. Setup and maintenance of all vendor accounts in business ERP system, including COI processing, contact and answer all vendor inquiries and discrepancies.
5. Monthly reconciliation of vendor statements and credit card expenditures
6. Monthly sales tax reconciliation and state filings
7. Annual 1099 processing
8. Assist in asset management for purchases and recording of tools, IT equipment, vehicles, etc.
9. Provide incoming call support to the business, assist with special projects and month end tasks.
10. Provide assistance as a backup for the accounting/admin department for certain AR functions.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
12. Follow all company policies and procedures.
Skills/Qualifications:
• High School Diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree desired or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Must have 2 years prior accounts payable experience; multiple cost centers and general ledger allocation management strongly preferred.
• Must demonstrate exceptional computer skills with the ability to use technology with little direction.
• Must have the ability to clearly communicate via written and verbal skills with customers and a team of professionals.
• Must be able to pass a pre-hire drug screening, background and credit check
